As a mother of teenagers I am committed to seeing every young Bristolian reach their potential.

I will continue to support our local schools and work to ensure our young people have access to the training that is right for them.

Visiting an apprentice at Airbus showed me how vital it is that our young people find the right situation for training and learning, we must realise that 'one size does not fit all'.

I shall be committed to working with parents who want free-schools as part of the education provision in Bristol, and also ensure we are creating the school places needed for our growing population. I want to see more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds fulfilling their potential and getting the university places they deserve. As a mother, I can guarantee that young people in Bristol West will have my full commitment to their success.
